The Lamy safari Roller Ball Pen with Ink Cartridge in Umbra is finished in Umbra, a soft, matte charcoal, with a black clip.

This is not an ordinary rollerball. The Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball writes with real fountain pen ink from a LAMY T10 cartridge, fed to a rollerball tip, so you get the smooth, wet line of a fountain pen with the easy, no-fuss handling of a rollerball.

LAMY has made pens in Heidelberg, Germany, since 1930, and the safari design, which the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball shares, has been a design classic since 1980.

How the ink cartridge rollerball works

Inside the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball sits a blue LAMY T10 ink cartridge, the same cartridge used in LAMY fountain pens. The ink flows to a rollerball writing tip, so the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball has no nib to learn and no angle to worry about.

Refills and care

When the ink runs out, simply fit a new blue LAMY T10 cartridge in the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball. LAMY recommends only the blue T10 cartridge for the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball, and it is not made for a converter. A worn tip on the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball can be swapped for a LAMY Z 140 writing tip.

The safari design

The Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball has a tough plastic body, the famous moulded grip that guides your fingers into place, a snap cap and the sturdy safari metal clip. At 12mm across, the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball is light and comfortable for long writing sessions.

Frequently asked questions

What ink does the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball use?
Blue LAMY T10 ink cartridges.

Can I use a converter in the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball?
No, T10 cartridges only.

Is the Lamy safari Umbra ink cartridge rollerball a fountain pen?
No, a rollerball with fountain pen ink.

Key highlights

Brand: LAMY, Germany

Collection: safari

Type: ink cartridge rollerball

Colour: Umbra (matte charcoal)

Clip: black

Body: plastic

Ink: LAMY T10 cartridge, blue (included)

Replacement tip: LAMY Z 140

Cap: snap cap

Diameter: 12mm

Origin: Germany

Why buy from Makoba?

Delivered worldwide: More than 50,000 pens delivered to customers around the world

100% genuine: Genuine products only, so you can buy with complete confidence

Packed with care: Careful, padded packaging so your pen arrives safely

Everything for writing: Shop pens, refills, inks and stationery together

Largest pen store: Makoba is India's biggest destination for pens, with the largest range of fine writing instruments in the country

Brand leader: Makoba is the biggest Lamy seller in India, with a wide choice of models and colours

90+ brands: Explore 90+ international brands without leaving one website

Trusted by collectors: Over 50,000 pen collectors in India and around the world buy from us

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0582/0819/0643/files/LamySafariRollerBallPenwithInkCartridge-UmbraBT_image1.jpg?v=1793451357
