For all Kaweco enthusiasts, the Kaweco Original fountain pen is a must have. A new pen series, but original Kaweco: The Kaweco Original impresses with its elegant lines and its clear design. The new Kaweco Original series immediately catches the eye with elegant lines and that distinctive Kaweco look. The matte black and chrome finish is delicious. The classic design harmonises wonderfully with the solid aluminium body, chrome-plated elements and scratch-resistant anodisation. Fusing vintage style with modern build quality, this fountain pen is a true original. Its elegant design was inspired by Kaweco pens of the 1950s, but its sturdy aluminum construction and scratch-resistant anodized finish are thoroughly contemporary. While the basic shape was based on writing instruments from the late 50s, the octagonal shape breathes the typical Kaweco product DNA into the original. Especially the handle makes the writing instrument clearly recognizable, as it is convex shaped in contrast to other Kaweco series. The Original comes in two sizes: one built around the classic Kaweco 060 nib and one built around the larger 250 nib. The pens are the same length, but the 250 pen is wider and has a shorter grip section to accommodate the larger nib.
Great pen , what you always expect from Kaweco. Its their early years design but in aluminium metal , size of the pen for me is just perfect despite the fact that you can practically post the cap. The nib as usual is butter smooth right out of the box. If you already own Kaweco AL Fountain Pen(s) , then this one is definitely is must for your collection and also for the first timers its a must buy.
