Izumo Raden “Galaxy” by Platinum:
The“Izumo” collection of Platinum Pen is one of the ultimate versions of traditional Japanese techniques. The fountain pen “Galaxy” is the voluminous “Izumo” body generously sprinkled with Raden (mother-of-pearl).
With the universe in your hand. Sharpen the carved ebonite body apply. Urushi Nuri (Japanese lacquer) and finely crush mother-of-pearls placed for the reflection of light. After about 6 months of lacquering, drying, and polishing, the “Galaxy” where countless stars emerge in jet black is born.
What is Raden?
A decorative technique commonly used for traditional crafts such as lacquerware. The inside of the shell, the part with an iridescent luster, is cut out in a plate shape.
The technique of pasting Raden on Urushi lacquer or wood, fitting it on the curved surface, and the crafts made using this Maki-e technique. This technique has been widely used for furnishings, accessories, and sword fittings since ancient times.

Within India, we charge a delivery fee of INR 125 for orders below INR 1500. For orders above INR 1500 shipping is free.
International shipping is calculated at Rs 3000 for orders under INR 15000.00 (Approx US$200). For orders above INR 15000.00 (Approx US$200) we don’t charge a shipping fee. This is applicable to standard packaged pens.

Shipping methods and delivery times and tracking:For shipping within India, we have partnered with leading courier and delivery companies like Blue Dart, FedEx, Delhivery, etc. The Courier partner for any particular Indian Pin code depends on the availability of service of any of the provided service partners. Orders placed before 12:00 noon usually get shipped the same day or max in 24 hours. Once the shipment process is started, you would start receiving automated email and SMS updates with tracking details, from our Shipping management partners. We usually ship products only through Airfreight that reach a destination in 2 working days.
For Shipping to International addresses, our preferred courier partners are EMS Speed Post and UPS. Depending on the product combination ordered, order preparation can take about 3 days to ensure safe packaging and to complete the formalities.

Shipping restrictions:For Shipments within India, we don’t have any restrictions in place. If at all, any arise due to non-accessibility of any particular region or city, our support team will coordinate to find the best alternative.
For International orders, there are restrictions in place to courier liquid products i.e Inks. Kindly avoid ordering inks. Even if by oversight, inks are ordered we would refund the order value of inks and ship only the items allowed.
In very rare and unpredictable circumstances, a package is lost during transit. We would wait for a period of 30 days to complete the process of tracking and re-shipping to your right address, failing which we would give a refund at the end of 30 days.
